Cancellation Policy

Effective July 7, 2026. This policy applies to reservations with Pacific Luxe Direct d/b/a Pacific Luxe Rentals unless a signed commercial or production agreement states otherwise.

Overview

Pacific Luxe Rentals holds each vehicle for confirmed dates once your reservation is approved and payment is collected. Because our fleet is small and curated, cancelled dates are difficult to re-book on short notice. This policy explains refunds, rescheduling, and how to cancel.

Pickup time means the scheduled handoff on your rental agreement (delivery or Santa Monica pickup). All cancellation windows are measured from that scheduled pickup time in Pacific Time.

Before payment

Submitting a reservation request does not guarantee availability and does not charge your card. You may withdraw an unpaid request at any time at no cost. If we cannot approve your dates, no payment is collected.

Refund schedule (after payment)

Once payment is collected, refunds depend on how far in advance you cancel before scheduled pickup:

  • 72+ hours before scheduled pickup: Full refund of prepaid rental charges.
  • 48–71 hours before scheduled pickup: 50% refund of prepaid rental subtotal.
  • Less than 48 hours before scheduled pickup: No refund — full rental amount forfeited.
  • No-show or failure to take delivery: No refund — full rental amount forfeited.

Security deposits

If a security deposit has been collected, it is refunded in full when you cancel 72+ hours before pickup and no rental period has started. For cancellations within 48–71 hours where a partial rental refund applies, the security deposit is refunded in full provided the vehicle was not delivered or placed in your possession.

If the vehicle was delivered or the rental period has begun, deposit handling follows the signed rental agreement and post-rental inspection process.

Rescheduling

Need different dates? Contact us as early as possible. With 72+ hours notice and vehicle availability, we will offer a one-time date change when feasible. Rescheduling is not guaranteed during peak demand periods (major holidays, LA events, and high-season weekends).

If you cannot reschedule, the cancellation refund schedule above applies.

Late arrival & no-show

If you do not arrive for scheduled pickup or delivery within the agreed window and do not contact us, the reservation may be treated as a no-show. No-shows forfeit the full prepaid rental amount.

Flight delays happen — share your flight number when booking and text our team if you are running late. We will make reasonable accommodations when we hear from you before the scheduled handoff window ends.

Commercial & production bookings

Picture car, commercial, and multi-vehicle production quotes may include custom cancellation terms stated in your signed quote or production agreement. Where those terms differ, the signed commercial agreement controls.

Weather & extraordinary events

If pickup or return is unsafe due to severe weather or an emergency beyond either party's control, contact us immediately. Pacific Luxe may offer rescheduling or account credit at our discretion. This does not apply to ordinary rain or traffic conditions in Los Angeles.

How to cancel

Email bookings@pacificluxrentals.com or contact us through the website with your reservation ID, renter name, and requested cancellation date. Cancellations are effective when we confirm them in writing. The refund tier is based on when we receive your cancellation request, not when the vehicle was scheduled for pickup.

  • Include your reservation confirmation number or the email address used to book.
  • Refunds are returned to the original payment method within 5–10 business days after cancellation is confirmed.
  • Processing times from your bank or card issuer may add additional days.

Questions & disputes

If you believe a cancellation was processed incorrectly, contact us within 7 days of our confirmation email. We review each case individually. Your signed rental agreement and this policy are incorporated into every confirmed reservation.
