Pacific Luxe Direct d/b/a Pacific Luxe Rentals respects your privacy. This policy describes how we handle information when you use our website, booking request flow, renter portal, and related communications.
Information we collect
When you submit a reservation or long-term rental request, we may collect:
- Contact details (name, email, phone) and driver age
- Booking and rental details, including dates, vehicle, delivery, and purpose of use
- Driver’s license images (front and back)
- Insurance card or declaration-page uploads
- Selfies or identity-verification images if collected
- Secondary ID if requested
- Insurance screening answers (carrier, named insured, coverage type, overnight location, additional drivers)
- Payment and deposit status
- Vehicle check-in and check-out photos
- Communications by email or SMS
Why we collect this data
We collect this information to review rental requests, verify identity and insurance, prepare agreements, process payment and deposits, coordinate vehicle handoffs, document vehicle condition, communicate about your rental, and protect both you and Pacific Luxe Rentalsin the event of damage, claims, or disputes.
How long documents are retained
Renter documents and trip photos are kept for as long as needed to complete the rental and related review. Some records may be retained as required for fraud prevention, insurance claims, disputes, taxes, legal compliance, or rental enforcement. We do not promise a specific deletion date beyond what our operations and legal obligations allow.
Who can access renter documents
Identity, insurance, and trip photos are available to authorized Pacific Luxe Rentals operators reviewing your booking. They are not published on the public website. Sensitive files are stored with access controls intended to limit viewing to people who need them to operate the rental.
Service providers
Third-party providers may process payments, email or SMS delivery, document storage, or website hosting on our behalf. We share only what is needed to operate those services. This policy does not claim specific certifications or legal compliance beyond the practices described here.
We do not sell personal information
Pacific Luxe Rentals does not sell renter personal information. We do not sell driver’s license images, insurance documents, or trip photos.
Correction or deletion requests
You may email bookings@pacificluxrentals.com to request a correction or deletion of personal information we hold. We may retain records when needed for fraud prevention, insurance claims, disputes, taxes, legal compliance, or rental enforcement.
Analytics
We use privacy-conscious analytics (including Google Tag Manager when configured) to understand site usage and improve the booking experience. You may encounter cookies from our payment processor during checkout.
